I Don't Think I Have A Stomach Any More

I'm sick.

Icky, yicky, yucky sick.

Didn't work today. In fact, I just simply turned my cell phone off and alternately slept on the couch or in bed.

I want to work tomorrow, but we have to see how the night goes. I'm utterly exhausted and feel like I've been run over by a truck. In some ways, I really want to work tomorrow, though I know if I work while running at 50%, I'll be that way for 3-4 days. If I wait an extra day to kick, I know I'll be full steam by Saturday, and can work, and work well, then.

*sigh*

This was not the week to get slammed with a stomach/intestinal virus. I just hope Jonathan and Emily don't get it.

In other news, pray for Jonathan's grandfather. He had another heart attack today; his second episode in two weeks. He's home, and resting, and we're praying for a full recovery.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Working from Home I Know

Well, in reality, I rarely work from home, but as Emily is running a fever (and unusually cranky for her 2nd day in a row), I'm home this morning making appointments and recruiting. But I am enjoying the guilty pleasures of playing with her until ten, as I usually don't like making calls before then.

Not much to report here, though I did deeply appreciate the comments left. It is hard being a working Mom, especially in the evangelical world, and it's been a huge adjustment on our marriage. I think things are starting to look up for us though, or at least look better! :-)

Well, this must be quick, so adios!

And Life Goes On...

So, I got a promotion at work today.

Very nice; I'm happy about it and looking forward to being able to use my management background.

Then Jonathan and I had a fight.

*sigh*

I just can't seem to get my life going in the right direction in any two areas of my life at the same time.

Is it me?

New Words

Me: Say "Mommy"

Emily: "DaDa"

Me: "Mommy"

Emily: "DaDa"

Jonathan: "Emily, where's Mommy?"

Emily: "MaMaMa"

Apparently, my name now has three syllables.

Our word count? Hey, Hi, Bye-Bye, DaDa, MaMaMa, and Baby Dinosaur (i.e. growl and try to bite Daddy's nose). We're trying to get the waving bye-bye down...
